LOCATION: Negotiable in Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra
TOTAL PACKAGE: $86,175
STATUS: Permanent
HOURS: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

The Climate Change Campaign team is one of five teams in the Campaigns department of ACF. The Climate Campaign team is responsible for the development and execution of ACF’s climate change campaign. The campaign makes use of a full suite of campaign tools including engaging our supporters, media and communications, direct political advocacy, fundraising and collaborations with other organisations. The climate change campaign team works with a cross-organisational team to ensure there is strong internal collaboration between departments.

Position Purpose:

To work with the climate change team to plan and deliver campaign activities to consistent with ACF's Strategic Plan.

  1. To contribute to planning and implementation of ACF's climate campaign
  2. To lead projects and activities within ACF's climate campaign as required
  3. To represent ACF in collaborations with civil society organisations and businesses
  4. To collaborate with ACF's supporter engagement, climate reality project and fundraising teams to ensure our members and supporters are actively involved in ACFs climate change campaign
  5. To collaborate with ACF's communications and public relations team to communicate with our target audiences through media, direct communications and marketing
  6. To speak on behalf of ACF to the media, government and at public events

Skills, Experience, Attributes & Qualifications Required:

  1. Proven ability to develop strategic alliances
  2. Demonstrated campaign, advocacy and project management experience
  3. Working knowledge of the processes of government
  4. Extensive experience in building effective public engagement networks and partnerships
  5. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  7. Proven ability to represent ACF publicly through media and public speaking events
  8. The ability to work autonomously and contribute to a high performing team
  9. Relevant tertiary qualifications would be an advantage
  10. Strong appreciation of and commitment to the vision and values of ACF
